What to write about
- A figure looks wrong
- The most useful email we get. Tell us which default is off, whether that is council rates, an insurance estimate or an indicative interest rate, and where the better number comes from, and we will check it and update. Sources and assumptions are set out on the methodology page.
- Something is broken
- Tell us what you clicked, what happened, and which browser and device you were using. Please do not send us your actual financial figures, because we do not need them, and the calculator is designed so that we never see them.
- Media and interviews
- Happy to talk about first home buyer affordability, rate stress-testing and the cost lines people forget. Email with your deadline.
- Advertising and partnerships
- Send details of what you have in mind. We do not accept paid placement inside the calculator's results or defaults, and we do not write sponsored content dressed as editorial.
- Reuse and licensing
- Ask before republishing content or embedding the calculator; see terms of use. Linking and short quotes with attribution are always fine.
What we cannot help with
We cannot give you personal financial or lending advice, tell you whether a bank will approve you, recommend a lender or an insurer, or review your budget for you. We are not a licensed financial advice provider. For that you need a licensed mortgage adviser or your bank.
